Emerson Hospital

Front-end design

Role: UI Designer
Date: 2016

To promote their high-quality care and community involvement, the team at Emerson Hospital wanted redesigns for their two sites, the main Hospital and the class and training center, Emerson Wellness Center. Content was particularly important for this design; several wireframes were built for every template because of the amount of information required. I furnished templates for doctor profiles, community news, location features, and more. Among the designs I provided include a location finder, a class detail page, a check out process, and mobile designs of each. As a hospital concerned with patient and accessibility rights, I gave special consideration to ADA compliance with this design, including text contrast tools and content naming guidance.

Details

Goal: Provide Emerson Hospital with high fidelity and mobile-friendly designs, especially considerate of accessibility requirements.

Challenges:
The dense amount of information on each page and the many iterations of wireframes and designs before approval. I also had to consider how to create a separate but still visually consistent site for their class and wellness pages.

Deliverables: wireframes, desktop designs, mini site, mobile designs, and accessibility guidance.
